Tylenol/Motrin Recall

There is a big recall on Tylenol and Motrin items!

Big recall news: The FDA and McNeil Consumer Healthcare, a subsidiary of Johnson & Johnson, have announced a voluntary recall of more than 40 over-the-counter children's medications, including infant and children's Tylenol, Motrin, Zyrtec and Benadryl.

If you've given your child any of these meds, it's important to note that none of them have been linked to any adverse health effects (phew). However, "manufacturing deficiencies" mean some of the medicines may not meet quality standards, and may have a higher concentration of active ingredient than listed on the bottle. Find out more about the recall HERE-- including if the bottles in your medicine cabinet are part of it, and how to get a refund.

Your kid's got a fever -- now what?

• Generic versions of these medicines are not included in the recall, so feel free to use those

• Do NOT give your kids adult-strength versions of these medicines
